I started MHC Lures in the fall of 2021 after unsuccessfully trying to find a specific color suspending twitch bait. As a result, I decided to make my own but went a step further by making my own lure from scratch. When testing the lure, it occurred to me that it might be something others would be interested in due to its unique shape, loud rattle and erratic action. I shared some of my recent successful fishing trips with other anglers on social media who also expressed interested in the lures. Thus, MHC Lures was born.
A little about me…
Originally from Pennsylvania, I relocated to Jacksonville, NC while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Growing up in central Pennsylvania, small mouth bass on the Susquehanna river as well as freshwater trout in the small mountain creeks were the target species. After leaving Active Duty in 2016, my wife and I decided to stay in North Carolina and, at the beginning of 2020, we moved to Morehead City, NC. Throughout 2020, I started to rediscover my passion for fishing. Now I spend my time on the water targeting inshore saltwater species; more specifically, Red Drum and Speckled Trout. When I’m not making lures, you can typically find me on the water near Morehead City/Beaufort.
